I am a recent graduate from the Adult Development and Aging program at The University of Akron. I do most of my research in the Emotions and Aging Lab with my advisor Dr. Jennifer Tehan Stanley, where I study social-emotional judgments (e.g., deceit detection, emotion perception, emotion regulation, etc.) in dyadic relationships (e.g., romantic partners). My dissertation titled, "Adult Romantic Couples' Use of Interpersonal Emotion Regulation Strategies in Everyday Contexts" has been completed and I am now writing manuscripts for publication.
I have accepted a Project Director position Kent State University in the Lifespan Development department for an NIA funded project with Dr. Greg Smith. We are focused on dyadic influences and outcomes of a social competence intervention for custodial grandmother and adolescent grandchildren.
